The Budget Planner is built to help you quickly map out a client’s real cash flow: what’s fixed, what’s flexible, and what’s already late. It’s simple enough for a nervous prospect to follow, but detailed enough for serious planning conversations.
Use this during live meetings or screen shares to walk clients through their month, identify which bills are choking their budget, and show how small shifts can free up cash for debt payoff and protection planning.
- Local auto-save: Everything saves in the client’s own browser — no logins, no accounts to manage.
- Optional cloud sync (Supabase): For multi-device or team use, you can connect a Supabase project and save/load by slug.
- Category-based layout: Fixed Bills, Fixed Debt, Variable Debt, Variable Expenses, and Income keep the conversation organized.
- Due-date urgency colors: Green for paid, yellow for 1–3 days out, red for due/overdue so priorities are obvious at a glance.
- Late / catch-up tracking: Mark items as “catch-up”, track arrears amounts, and show a visual progress bar as they pay it down.
- Monthly rollover: One click rolls the plan forward to next month so you’re not rebuilding from scratch.
- Calendar reminders (.ics): Export due dates to a calendar file your client can drop into Google, Apple, or Outlook.
- Quick add for variable spending: Fast “label + amount” entry for random purchases so you can show where the loose cash really goes.
- Income vs outflow vs net: Top dashboard shows total income, total outflow, and net so you can frame every decision around cash flow.
